  1. What a refreshing change to see vintage Marx in operation. Especially liked the shots of the train passing through the girder bridge!

  2. Hi..I recently came across my dad’s childhood train set. My grandson is very interested in it. I would like to have an idea of the value of it…so I can decide to let him play with it or place it where it can only be admired. There is a couple transformers, lightposts, track, stations, commodore Vanderbilt engine and 5 or 6 cars. My figuring would make the set 86 years old. Also has the lionel manual.

  3. Nice video Todd, I appreciate that you leave a few dents on some of your accessories. Some how that adds to the timelessness of our hobby. I also like to see more Marx on CTT.

  4. Fun video Todd! I liked the black and silver frame freight set. I had a few of the of the black and silver frame cars when I first started collecting Marx trains. I didn’t really like the look and ended up painting over about three of them and making them solid black! Too funny! Now, I love the red frame and silver framed sets and couldn’t imaging painting over one! Thanks for the nice video!

  5. Great video. Wonderful sound with the cacaphony of rattling, clattering tin. I love the Marx “growl” at start-up.
