Unpainted, cast resin, seated figures in 1:20.3 scale; fireman Clem, engineer Chet, and Miss Jenny
Pros: Superbly modeled figures; no cleanup necessary; ready to paint
Cons: Difficult to modify due to high detail level
All three figures are beautifully modeled-perhaps the best I’ve ever seen. The detail level is exceptionally high and mold lines, when visible at all, can be easily removed with an X-acto knife or needle file. Facial features are marvelous and all the wrinkles in the clothing look just right. Even seams are represented and are not overdone.
Engineer Chet really looks like an engineer, in proper bib overalls and an engineer’s cap. To turn him into someone else could be a challenge. However, fireman Clem, with his receding hairline, could be just about anyone (not just a fireman). He’s just dressed in pants (held up by suspenders) and a shirt (although he is wearing heavy gloves). Miss Jenny is attired for the formality of a train trip in the late 19th or early 20th century. She sits patiently, waiting for the train, with her handbag on her lap.
A good paint job will really bring these characters to life. Highly recommended.
