Description: Wood pellet fired modified Ruby

I made a new boiler for this Ruby kit so it could burn solid fuel. She has a water pump working off the crosshead to keep the water level up in the boiler. A “blower” which shoots a jet of steam up the stack to keep the fire going when the engine is stationary.

Wood pellets are locally available for home heat in our area and are thus cheap. they work pretty well, providing sufficient heat with frequent stoking.
