Theme:    A rural Maine two foot gauge line
Description:    This little video is made up of old footage found in the attic of a farm house next to the current line. It was thought to have been filmed in the early 1930’s though the fact that it has sound is puzzling as most home movie cameras were not sound equipped in those days.

I filmed this on a nice spring day then edited it to half speed just for fun. I think things look and sound quite realistic this way.

The Bell shot at the beginning is actually quarter speed…it gets the tone down close to what it should be…a trade off as it sounds poor in eighth speed. It is the (modified) actual sound of my model bell which is has a high tinkle.
