Great plans! I just hope that someone will attemt to make a good replica of John Allen's third layout.
I have been a John Allen fan since in the early 60's when I was in high school. I have many older isues of MR in which John's G & D was featured.
Just starting to get back into HO and will have a layout with primarily a backwoods logging theme but also a mainline and small town as well.
Keep up the outstanding work..enjoy every issue of MR.

THANK YOU FOR THE TRACK PLANS OF JOHN ALLENS GORRE&DAPHETID. I WAS AWESTRUCK VIEWING PHOTOS IN MR DURING THE EARLY SEVENTIES. I'M PLANNING ON TACKLING THE FIRST ALLEN LAYOUT.
I would really appericate if Cody could send me a drawing of that fold down bridge on the w&s railroad should on the video that was shown on here . thankyou much. I have had 3 major surgery's in the last 7 months and I built a swing out bridge but don't like it . If he could send me a print of that fold dowdn bridge I would appericate. My Address is

I built a layout of John Allen,s first G & R years ago . I have since
built three more small size railways ( space is a problem ) and
with what I have learned from building them I am looking forward to building a more acurate model of the first G & R.
Thanks MR for the information from your website
I am currently build John Allens engine house in HO scale. Information provided here is of great help.
THANKS!!!!
Thank you for your help. I think that I will now be able to build the layout that I have been wanting to build.
Again, thank you, very much. MR has been a very kind and cooperative organization.
