  1. Great plans! I just hope that someone will attemt to make a good replica of John Allen's third layout.

  2. I have been a John Allen fan since in the early 60's when I was in high school. I have many older isues of MR in which John's G & D was featured.
Just starting to get back into HO and will have a layout with primarily a backwoods logging theme but also a mainline and small town as well.
Keep up the outstanding work..enjoy every issue of MR.

  5. I built a layout of John Allen,s first G & R years ago . I have since
built three more small size railways ( space is a problem ) and
with what I have learned from building them I am looking forward to building a more acurate model of the first G & R.
Thanks MR for the information from your website

  6. I am currently build John Allens engine house in HO scale. Information provided here is of great help.

  7. Thank you for your help. I think that I will now be able to build the layout that I have been wanting to build.

Again, thank you, very much. MR has been a very kind and cooperative organization.
