Bob,
My indoor/outdoor layout is very similar to yours. I have a 15×22
basement and am modeling in Fn3 (1:20.3) scale. My benchwork is 50" off the floor and a 2% grade will get me outside into our large 75×100 backyard of which use primarily the perimeter with some reverse loops etc.
Anything I need to know (tricks etc) about going outdoors and back indoors?
Thanks for the help;

I would like to thank Andy and the crew at GMR for the fine job they did on this article, also, Paul Dolkos. Sadly, we moved shortly after Paul did the photo-work but a new large scale layout is under way. If anyone would like to contact me about indoor large scale model railroading, they can reach me at: bob@miamirailservice.com
