  1. This was a great layout. The scenery was completed all the way from Boston to the Cape Cod Canal bridge when I saw it in person. John also had done some work from Orleans to P-Town, but the middle was still plywood and benchwork. The local model train club guys used to come over and operate it with John and they had a fun operation set up. My lone contribution was the giving John a copy of the plans for the Cape Cod Vertical Lift Bridge.

    The Union Freight RR part of this plan has been preserved and is in the local club down on the Cape. This was featured in MR several times over the years, and was collected in one of Kalmbach’s books. I highly recommend it.
