All this info takes some time to digest. With this Newsletter format, MR gives us time and data to take it all in. I really enjoy
the show reports. Thanks!
Will some of these show up in the Magizine later this year?
some good information on the show.
Enjoyed this!
great reporting
I am there.
Jerry L.
Very informative, enjoyed seeing all the new items
I like it.
Pretty good job of initial covering of the Train Show. Thanks.
Looks like another great year for model railroading!
N-Scale offerings look good. Maybe Atlas could be persuaded to offer their ATSF Alco S-2 in the Zebra Stripe scheme next year. Also, maybe they could do the S-2 in CB&Q, D&RGW, And UPRR in the future (Those three all used the S-2 at Denver Union Station back in the 1950s-'60s).
On the other side, prices (especially plastic raw material) has gotten out of reach for us retired folk on Soc.Sec. during the
past five years! (Example: Classic Metal Works N-Scale Bobtail/straight 2-pack cost $10.00 in 2007 vs. $18.-20.00 today.) That's not to degrade CMW, it's the cost of raw material for any model manufacturer.

Beautiful products! I can tell that I am getting old when I remember what I paid for items 40 or 50 years ago. You know, I tell my son that it snowed every day I walked to school and it was up hill both ways. I don't tell him that I had a high powered Chevy that could pass anything but a gas pump. Take the 2-8-8-2 shown. I bought a MRC engine of that type in N scale in 1969 for $31.95. (I still have it and it is a beauty.) Of course, that $31.95 in '69 dollars would be $200.00 in 2013, so prices don't seem to be that much out of line, especially when you consider what today's models will do (mine didn't have DCC). Again, very enjoyable and informative. That's why I have MRs going back to 1957.
Wow some great stuff coming out.
WOW, too bad most of the new locomotives are too expensive to afford on a limited income. I can see why most kids now days are turning to video games and R/C cars, they couldn't afford to buy modern railroad equipment by mowing lawns like I did. I could mow 2 lawns and be able to buy an Athearn engine (they were around $10 then) and still have enough left over to buy a freight car kit or two. A new release video game costs 1/4 to 1/3 the price of a locomotive (around $40 to $60) and an R/C car is about the same price as a single locomotive.
Interesting. In the N scale locomotive area, I wonder why Bachmann would come out with an NW2 when Kato already has made and currently makes the NW2.
Can, t wait till tomorrow to see it all for my self!!
LOT,S OF NEAT STUFF WISH THERE WOULD BE SOME CN ROADS BUT THANK YOU
Very good, I like the news on new equipment.
A lot of good information, great reporting.
There is a lot of info there.

Nice to see MTH releasing some new HO scale locomotives
thank you.
Thank you for the information. Many good and useful items available. Glad to have been able to view.
WHERE ARE YOUR STEAM LOCOMOTIVES ??
It seems that several European companies have developed some new and innovative DCC control systems, i.e. Marklin's Central Station, the Z-21 system from Roco/Fleischmann, Zimo's new system, ESU, etc. Are we going to see any new systems from Digitrax, NCE, and others?
