Jacksonville Terminal Co., a firm that’s quickly become well-known for its line of N scale intermodal containers, well cars, and details, announced that it is entering the HO scale market. “We will feature products that are not currently available, and/or are improved versions to meet modelers expectations,” the company said in a press release. “We have already received many requests and recommendations over the last couple of years.”

The company’s initial offerings will be 53-foot containers with a 6-42-6 corrugation pattern and inter-box connecting pins at 40-foot locations, an ocean container with a 6-42-6 corrugation pattern and inter-box connector castings at the 53-foot corners, and with an 8-55-8 corrugation pattern. The containers will be offered with prototype-specific doors and will feature JTC’s magnetic connecting system (magnets on bottom and metal plates on top) and separately applied door rods.

Paint schemes on the 53-foot ocean containers will be APL (dark blue “No Lift” scheme in two three-packs and early dark blue scheme), Crowley (blue and brown schemes), Oceanex (blue with “LTL Service” lettering, single container), and Trailer Bridge (blue APL patchout). Each paint scheme will be offered in one three-pack unless noted. Single containers will be priced at $22.98 and three-packs will sell for $59.95.
