ScaleTrains.com recently donated $30,000 to five of CSX Transportation’s “Pride in Service” signature charity partners. The money is from the proceeds of the sale of the company’s HO scale Rivet Counter line CSX General Electric ES44AH diesel locomotives decorated in the Spirit of our Law Enforcement, Spirit of our First Responders, and Spirit of our Armed Forces paint schemes.
The model train manufacturer donated $6,000 each to the following groups: Blue Star Families, First Responders Children’s Foundation, Operation Gratitude, Operation Homefront, and Wounded Warrior Project. In a press release, ScaleTrains.com president Shane Wilson said, “We’re thankful to everyone who purchased a Pride in Service model and their commitment to help us give back to these wonderful organizations who work hard to take care of our veterans, first responders, police officers, and their families. Working together with CSX to offer highly detailed, accurate models of these special ES44 GEVOs has been truly rewarding. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the Pride in Service program.”
