As we enter the holidays and highball into 2023, the MR staff wanted to take a look back at our top model railroad products of 2022. Any of these would make great gifts for any modeler on your Christmas list or even for yourself.
- Athearn added the General Electric Dash 9-44CW to its Genesis 2.0 lineup.
- Tangent released their first O scale model, the General American 1928-design 6,000-gallon three-compartment tank car.
- Following Amtrak’s 50th anniversary, Bachmann released its ALC-42 Charger in the “Day 1” paint scheme.
- Eastern Seaboard Models entered the HO scale market with their insulated boxcars.
- Rapido brought the General Motors Division F40PH-2D to the N scale market.
- The Kalmbach Hobby Store released their custom run of the Accurail HO scale 40-foot hinged-door steel refrigerator car in a mid-20th century Milwaukee, Racine & Troy paint scheme.
- ScaleTrains added to their Museum Quality line with the Electro-Motive Division SDL39.
- And for the 1/2, an engine updated for its excursion service, Union Pacific no. 4014 from Broadway Limited Imports.
