  1. You lucky people!! What a convincing model, both the low speed performance and engine noise are superb. A lovely looking model with a bad throat

  2. Overall, I have to agree with just about everyone who's posted already….esecially the horn. Its beyond anemic….its downright sick. Fix that and you'll have a great model. I also was wondering if Gary Parsons from Ohio (above) was ever at McCalla Field?

  3. Ihave to agree with the others the horn is to soft, compared to the other sounds. Good looking loco.

  4. Primemover sounded very repetative and the Horn was definately anemic as others have said.No sound of power like the quantum chips.

  5. Locomotive has excellent slow speed characterists & appears to be very faithful in dimensions. Car body is at proper height above trucks unlike some other recent manufacturer's models. Diesel prime mover &
bell sound is excellent, however horn seems a little anemic but that could just be ambient audio conditions at time of the video recording. This is one of my favorite locomotives from the steam – diesel transition period and I'm going to get one as soon as possible!

  6. I agree with Gary Parsons. You couldn't hear the horn very well. Other than that, the model is pretty great.

  7. Ok, slight hiccups with different sound levels, but how realistic to hear the locomotive run by, and what great slow speed. Yes this is a locomotive to have in the steam/diesel transition.

  8. Diesel engine sounds are good, bell is good, but I'm wondering about the horn. Maybe volume can be increased by adjusting a CV. If not it sounds a little anemic.

  9. Sounds rather weak, not as natural or robust as my QSI equipped locos. Looks OK but until is it is seen close up one cannot tell if it is better than other maker's models of the same loco

  10. The engine looks very nice and I find the engine sound very convincing. and the bell too. The horn isn't a good sound. It can be a little more louder and the digital sound effect has to be changed in an more deeper sound.
Overall I find it a very good model with neat paintwork.

  11. Overall a very impressive model, but like the others I was disappointed with the horn sound, which brought to mind the bleating of a lamb.

  12. I agree with the other comments. Good looking, good slow speed, good engine and horn, but definitely the horn needs alot of work.

  13. Not impressed for the money they cost. The horn sounds like it is 10 cars back. Nice looking units, but so are the Proto 2000 for much less.
