  1. Awesome sound indeed and works with the unit at the same time too. I cannot wait to get my DCC up and running. Sound will be a must as I get the feel for the DCC system.

  2. Looks, sounds and runs like the real one. I cannot wait for it to come to my local hobby shop in Santa Fe zebra stripe scheme.

It should also come out in LIRR, Conrail, CSX and Amtrak Colors. Adding working windshield wipers and live steam for the diesel generator would be nice.

  3. Wonderful in all ways.As a new chum to the great world of Model trains I really look forward to many happy hours with the hobbie

  4. Excellent sound and enjoy the whole video. Now that this video has me hooked on sound, I guess I will have to go see the boys in Soundtrax

  5. I'm with Sean of Calif and Michael of Mich..Hey!! PK2..when do we get the SP GP9…Gray & Scarlet version..Love that sound!

  6. Great sound and operation , maybe I need to look at changing over to dcc from dc , price will be the deciding factor though.

  7. Very Nice! I wonder if they will make them in the Erie LAck paint scheme. Sound, and smooth running is too cool! I love the diesels, but the steam even more.

  8. Great sound and action! Will you publish your answer to the couple of people that had problems with power and de-rails? I'm sure that there are others with similar problems.

  9. If that's the second generation chip from QSI, I'm glad I didn't waste my money on those F units that Walthers is selling now. 1750HP. isn't much to start cars moving, thus they would crank out the throttle to say #3 and as the cars came up to speed they would back down the throttle and a distinctive whine would come from the engine. Working the throttle back and forth is a common with these 1st generation diesels.

  10. Very Impressive slow speed and great sound. Makes me glad I switched from postwar toy trains to HO scale models.

  11. Wonerful engine. horn sounds excellent cannot say enough about how realistic this engine sounds and looks

  12. Why the long – short – short – long whistle coming up to the grade crossing ?? …

Also, the video I watched was herky jerky in some spots – hope that was something with the download rather than the engine ?? …

Thanks MR for making things like this video available …

  13. Brett B. Space between equipment/freight is larger, as the prototype coupler's/pockets are designed that way. Might have been an old GP9(1954-1959),in the video, but the three boxcars certainly appear as the present-time modern equipment. Nice P2K loco, & sound.

  14. Excellent sound and slow action control! Now gentlemen, when are you offering one for B&M, MEC, BAR, and NYC ?
