Comments: These easy-to-install wye turnouts are the latest additions to the Atlas code 80 N scale track line. The turnouts are available in three versions. The standard manual and standard remote versions have a reliably operating, but bulky, turnout mechanism mounted on the side. The Custom-Line turnout doesn’t have this mechanism, allowing the user to add a more-realistic ground throw or attach the turnout to a switch motor. The remote turnout was easy to wire and operate.
Check gauge and other dimensions matched National Model Railroad Association standard S-3.2. I ran a short train through each route without derailing.
These code 83 wye turnouts allow more versatility for designing an N scale layout.
