I have 2 of these, they don’t sound anything like that. I agree that might be the wrong sound file in that loco, because it does not sound like a GP7.
I purchased and returned two of these non sound units as there was no DCC plug as advertised. I have no idea if the entire run was that way or not but I was disappointed.
To James Rohrbach: Yes, Cody helped me a lot by coming up with a plausible GN freight train. To Allan and anyone else in the Milwaukee area this weekend, I hope to see you at Trainfest!
Thanks for watching,

Excellent presentation Dana. The area you chose on the MR&T was perfect and hope to see you at Trainfest this weekend.
Did Cody have anything to do with this video? There’s a lot of GN stuff evident!
Sound file needs to be changed sounds more like. GP40 then a 7
Might be the recording but I seem to hear a pronounced turbo whine which should not be present in a GP7.
Dana is correct, GN did run all first generation road switchers long hood forward; however, Atlas did not correctly mark the unit to indicate this.
Have to agree with Mr. Binder, the turbo whine was quite evident; and the horn sound wasn’t all that nifty either.
