Diane,
The Video is working for me.
Re James Shrader's older comment on the factory recommended oil clearing procedure for the motor… use DC only, not AC. Apply 12 volts to the two OUTERMOST pins on the loco side of connector between loco and tender. If in doubt, call Durango to have them walk you through this simple procedure.
still can not see any video just a black rectangle and the ever spinning icon…not even the still that usually appears.
Nice loco,I have 4 of them. The only problems are the decoder going to sleep a lot,and having to 'rev it up on AC,per Blackstones recommendations,to burn off the excess oil from mfg..A real pain.
Looks and sounds great, they will not have any problem selling this item. Its as good as the real thing.
I was really suprised that Model railrouder reviewed number 459. That is the number I had purchased the model in the normal DC way so not sound equipped. Currently I'm converteing to DCC and this little beautiful engine must have sound in it. In the video it looks great but in real it even looks better. It also runs nice in slow and faster speeds. I hope that when I installed the appropiate decoder my wistle sounds loader than I heard in the video.
After all a very nice machine and I hope to see a class C-16 or 19 from Blackstone Models in the future. Now I have one of the mudhens, a next model by blackstone will be mine too.
I think layout #2 will have some HOn3 on it…
Another model steamer with sound. I love it. The whistle is kind of quiet compared to the chug, but it is a great loco overall.
My HO is of the 1950's D&RGW main line. This lovely little mudhen portends a major addition to the track plans.
A beautiful locomotive, to me all the sounds seem authentic – but then I haven'nt seen a live Americaqn steam loco. The model makers, software designers and manufacturers are to be congratualated
Really nice steamer, we loved the sounds. We have to agree that the whistle is quieter than the chug.
I am sure we can tone down the chug and increase the whistle….now i need it in n scale but i guess i could put it on some track in the background right! lol
I love it. Nice sound Now i have to get one….Don
