This HO scale 2-8-8-2 steam locomotive features Digital Command Control, sound, and smoke
This is truly a fine looking locomotive, but I would prefer to do without the smoke; smelly, not thick enough and of the wrong shade. Other than that, the bell, whistle and other sounds are very good. It would be nice if BLI were to add rod clanking as the engine drifted down hill, or easing to a stop.
As a safety note, handling open loads of wood (or wood products) right behind the engine can be somewhat hazardous as sparks from the stack could cause a fire.

I purchased the #2199 soon after it came out. Absolutely love it. Had the newest Class J #611 [In service version] prior to this one and also have enjoyed that one immensely. Just received the Class A #1218 today and am impressed already. Nice job BLI!
Awesome Locomotive! It would also be very nice to have In Deep Product Reviews of the two newest MTH Steam Locomotives: the Big Boy and the Challenger! In think It would be important to hear your opinión about them!
It's production, off-the-shelf HO models such as this that make me rethink modeling in N scale….but just for a minute or so, or until I see the price 😉

That is so cool. I really like the smoke unit. That with the sound makes it seem really authentic.
I THOUGHT THE SMOKE WASNT THAT GOOD, AND THE HORN DID NOT SOUND THAT WELL. TO TINNEY. I THINK THE COULED DO BETTER.
Looks like BlI has a fine run of the Y6b again! I especially appreciate the drivers of the 2 engines being a little out of sync as it gives the exhaust sounds authenticity and looks very cool besides!
All the features look and sound great, but the whistle sounds sick.
This Y6b is another great N&W engine! The smoke is a nice improvment over the past PCM model. I tested mine on the club layout with 30 BLI N&W H2a 3 bay hopers! It is a master piece!
Now we keep expecting and dreaming with similar great job for the other N&W engines: Z1b, M2c, K2a, Y5/Y6/Y6a!
For now on the next N&W form BLI should be the A!

Yeah have to admit that whistle needs some work, but that is a fantastic model. Wish my Rivarrossi wash that well equipped.

Worst whistle I have ever heard. Otherwise great. Hope they fix the whistle before I get one.

Christmas is a'coming. I have one in hand and Santa is bringing the second. Also, Y6b whistle is VERY authentic — not at all sick. I know the sound first hand.
I like the 18" radius and the smoke unit.
