  1. it is a good idea to test your decoders because a bad decoder can mean your motor can get fried and you will have a dead engine.if your decoder dies replace it and use a device like Decoder Dr. to test it to see if it works because bad decoders mean bad order trains and we in the hobby don't want that.

  2. Guess I should have waited for this instead of the BLI thingamajig that only reads and programs addresses, not CVs… Oh well, what's another hundred bucks when the IRS is a-comin' knockin' in a couple days?

  3. I have a Digitrax Duplex system. Will the Decoder Dr. work with it or does it only plug into MRC product? I went to the MRC website (per George M.'s suggestion) and it does not list what is needed/comes with the "throttle". Cody can you elaborate?

  4. I want one. Have many to install in older collection and this eliminates the guess work from a long process. Available at the end of which year?

  5. Amazing the questions MR does not ask. Can I test a decoder without the 8 pin plug? Does it come with an adapter harness? What is the unit plugged into? Price? October? Which year? And everyone else's questions.

  6. I gather from the video that you have to KNOW in advance which CV controls what function on your decoder or your locomotive. Are CV's universal—that is, from the video, does "50" always control the horn?

  7. Where does the black wire go?? What about power supply? Can it function as a DCC throttle? Most importantly, a question that Kalmbach consistently forgets to ask: IS IT FULLY NMRA COMPLIANT???
