Frank Baker built his freelanced HO scale Morristown & Erie RR, Western Division to model towns across America. Check out Frank’s impressive layout in the Model Railroader special issue, Great Model Railroads 2019. As a bonus, watch trains run along the main in this short video.

  1. agreed, we’ve seen the mast head, lets move on.. Second time around watching this, and I’m not a civil engineer, is that bridge even possible ? ( I like the bluntness of it) but it looks like several Atlas kits mixed together. It does convey the message very nicely, it’s massive, it’s heavy, but.. would this structure have been built ? just curious

  2. Almost 25 seconds are lost at the beginning and again at the end of the video just showing the MR masthead. What a bummer. Love the Katy wood sheved box car in the train. Thanks!

  3. Good to see such realistic modeling of the great Erie with the end-cab Baldwin diesels and boxcars of that era.

  4. Know this is a “teaser” to buy the mag, but it would be nicer if it were a bit longer.
Are those signals at Little River operating? They sure look neat.

  5. Nice looking representation of the Erie days gone by Frank. Great bridges, structures and rock work. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Nice job on the details. Had to watch the short video many times to capture the elements. Great looking loads and super nice bridge details. Now I got to order Great Model RR 2019 just read and see the information on this pike alone. Great job Mr. Baker, thank’s for sharing, love the music!
