Nice layout, but why must many modelers of old time railroads feel the must include banjo music in the background?
I've been a bit troubled by amount of near, or virtually shear, cliffs I have on my layout set in north central Colorado. While still on the drawing board, these areas had more diagonal and horizontal scenery! Adding my logging and mine branch after construction began added the new challenges. Frank seems to have done well with the scenery on his vertical separations, and I'm no longer worried about mine because of his work.
Having just torn down my old logging rr, I was about to move to a more generic switching layout. Now I'm motivated to return to my roots and it's back to the drawing board. If I come up with something half as inspirational, I'll be very happy. I am love the homage to the ERC&L (and others) with stream running. That's one of the features that characterizes a WV logging rr. Bridges? We don't need no bridges….. Great job!
Awesome railroad and nice music.
Nice railroad!
Nice music!
Great detail
great layout you have I am into on3 logging and its great fun been doiny layout for over 60 plus years and it does not get old
great video…very nice …
Very nice and very different, which makes it so interresting to look at.
Great detail! and nice motive power! What are the banjo tunes in the video?
This video is just what i needed today. The layout is truly enjoyable and very nicely thought out. I've been working on my logging branch for years now after the mainline was completed. Although I love the huge trains running on my main, I've taken quite an interest in logging and believe it is becoming my true love. Thanks for sharing.
A job very well done. I whish I had your talents to do something like this. Just a beautiful layout.
From Pa.
Nice railroad, nice video, and a good choice of music. 🙂
Nice job.
Nice! Very nice and great details! I live near WV and it looks just like it did back in the 50's logging camps so a good job replicating the ambiance!
great little layout. love the details
Very nice layout. Thanks for the video
Lou,
Neatly done, but would have been nicer with loco sounds. I have noticed that you do not have a turntable or a wye. While using Heislers and Climaxes this is not a problem, but the Shay can really pound the rail beneath the cylinders.
