  1. Having been an employee of the Rock Island Motor Transit Company, a brach of the Rock Island Railroad, in Chicago, Omaha, Salina, Dever, and Mason City, I really enjoy reading articles, seeing layouts and watching videos of model railroads and other videos that refer to the Rock Island days.

  2. Very nice layout, reminds me of the good ole days of the Rock Island in mason city Ia. The small towns as well, great layout.

  3. great shots. Good to see a slower moving train. I ' m getting ready to make some puffball trees but??? I harvested to lichen last year. How do I soften them lp. They are britle and stiff. Again , great video. Eddie Owens.

  4. WOW !! that is stunning , there is nothing else to say except im so jealous, love the weathering on the lead A unit

  5. The scenery, landscape, and structures were great. I wish skills were that good. Maybe one day. great job on your layout.

  6. Great job with the detail and realism! Being an N-scaler my self I know how hard it can be somtimes.

  7. I think the one thing most of us miss, is just what we see from about 2,000 feet ( the view from where we watch our layouts). There is so much green and so many trees. This layout gives me the inspiration to pay more attention to the green effect. Thanks for such a shot of energy!
