NORTH EAST, Pa. – The Lake Shore Railway Historical Society will host three CSX Transportation “Pride in Service” locomotives at its museum in North East later this month. The museum will open at noon on Oct. 12-13 so visitors can get a close look at the Erie-built locomotives honoring America’s military veterans, first responders, and police. Additionally, the museum will offer a night photo session with the three visiting locomotives and its own collection of General Electric locomotives.
“We honor our heroes in so many ways,” Lake Shore Railway Historical Society President Alex Hummel says. “It is fitting that we honor their service in this railroad setting, too!”

  1. Thank you CSX for doing this. I hear so many folks complain because this cause and that cause are not represented. I will refer this to my grandmother, born in the 1800’s that said, “Be thankful for what you have, and quit worrying about that which you have not.” Pretty simplistic.
