Three Class I railroads have released videos addressing their response to the coronavirus pandemic.

BNSF Railways’ video, available here, features Jon Gabriel, general superintendent of the railroad’s Network Operations Center in Fort Worth, Texas. It updates current service and moves to combat the virus, including the separation of dispatchers into two facilities.

Canadian National’s video, featuring Chief Operating Officer Rob Reilly, is available here. Reilly says that CN has caught up on the backlog created by Canadian blockades earlier this year, and is following directives from medical authorities in both the U.S. and Canada.

Union Pacific’s video, available here, addresses the railroad’s role in the supply chain.

  1. I liked CN’s the best. Took input from employees and made it so crews didn’t have to go into an office to “tie up” is just one of many items he mentioned.
