Johnson, a BNSF Railway veteran who joined CP in 2013, is set to retire at the end of September. Redd, who joined CP from Kansas City Southern in 2013 and currently leads CP’s Western Region, will become executive vice president for operations effective Sept. 1.
Greg Squires was named to succeed Redd in the Western Region.
CP named Tracy Miller senior vice president of operations for its Eastern Region, effective Sept. 1. He will replace Tony Marquis, who is retiring. Marquis joined CP in 2013 after spending three decades at Canadian National.

Since 2012, we have gone from an industry laggard to an industry leader and this is the next step in our transformational journey. We continue to focus on investing in people and building the leaders of tomorrow from within. Today’s announcement is further proof that our plan is working.”
Miller joined CP in March 2019 from CN, where he held various operating positions on the former Illinois Central. Miller and CN are involved in a legal dispute over his departure for CP, Bloomberg has reported.
CP also announced, effective Sept. 1, that Chad Rolstad, vice president of human resources, will add chief culture officer to his title, and James Clements, who has been with CP for more than 20 years, will become senior vice president of strategic planning and technology transformation.
