SUNRAY, Texas — A new bulk transload facility is open for business in Texas’ panhandle near Sunray. TNW Corp., whose companies include the Texas Northwestern Railway and other transportation and logistics operations, recently opened the transload site about 50 miles north of Amarillo.

The facility specializes in the transport of bulk materials between railcars and trucks. The facility is located on the Texas Northwestern Railway near a new industrial and logistics site developed by the company.

TNW officials say the transload site has direct access to major highways, storage options, and available sites for warehousing and commercial development. The shortline railroad can accommodate up to 10,000 railcars.

The industrial park interchanges with BNSF Railway and is part of Texas Northern Railway’s 151-mile system.
