WASHINGTON — The Railway Supply Institute announced today that it is soliciting individual nominations for three new members of its board of directors to begin in January 2021. The typical office term for board members is three years with an opportunity to extend that term if elected to the board’s executive committee.

“For decades, RSI has acted on behalf of the smallest to the largest suppliers to North American freight and passenger railroads,” said RSI Board Chairman Jason Connell, President and CEO of Knorr Brake Company. “Joining the RSI Board of Directors provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to help guide the railway supply industry’s growing voice on policies, regulations, and events that will impact the industry for years to come.”

Through forward thinking and collaboration, the Railway Supply Institute’s Board of Directors is well equipped to handle the diverse nature of the rail industry and its changing needs.

Nominees will be vetted by the nominating committee and presented to the board for consideration. The RSI board will present a slate of candidates to the RSI members for ratification at the RSI Annual Membership Meeting which will be held at the RSI 2020 Education & Expo Conference in Chicago, Illinois, Sept. 9 to 11, 2020.
