LOS ANGELES — Metrolink rail service on the Perris Valley has been disrupted in the wake of Thursday’s crash of a military jet near the rail line.

Tracks between Moreno Valley and Perris have been shut down as police activity continues around the crash site. Interstate 215, which parallels the rail line, is also closed.

Metrolink reports on its website that trains are originating and terminating at Moreno Valley, with bus transportation being provided to stations in Perris. Check Metrolink’s Twitter account for updates.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that the pilot of an Air National Guard F-16 fighter and 12 people on the ground were hospitalized after the pilot, on a training mission, ejected from the aircraft, which crashed into a warehouse.
