DENVER — Shortline holding company OmniTRAX has promoted Sergio Sabatini to president and named Gord Anutooshkin as chief operating officer, the company has announced.

Sabatini, who had been chief operating officer, was with Canadian Pacific Railway for 18 years before joining OmniTRAX in 2013. Anutooshkin, who also came to OmniTRAX from Canadian Pacific, was previously senior vice president of operations for the shortline company.

“Sergio and Gord have played vital roles in our record-setting growth, the repositioning of our rail assets and the industry-leading efficiency that has positioned OmniTRAX for sustained success,” OmniTRAX CEO Kevin Shuba said in a press release. “Their Class 1 experience and comprehensive railroad backgrounds have served our team very well and helped make OmniTRAX one of the safest and most efficient rail operating companies on the continent.”
