BRUNSWICK, Mo. — Norfolk Southern officials are projecting a Nov. 6 restoration of Kansas City-Moberly, Mo., service over the Grand River bridge near Brunswick. The bridge was destroyed by heavy rains and flood debris Oct. 1. [See “Flood waters take out NS bridge in Missouri,” Trains News Wire, Oct. 3, 2019.]
Since the bridge was knocked out, NS has detoured traffic using temporary trackage rights over Kansas City Southern between Kansas City and Mexico, Mo.
Pretty wild. Looks like they have a shore based concrete pumping truck pumping concrete to a pumping truck on a barge, that is then pumping the concrete into the caissons.
