The Altamont Corridor Express commuter rail system is expanding to provide Saturday service beginning Sept. 7, 2019.

There will be two round trips between Stockton and San Jose each Saturday, with departures from Stockton at 7:25 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. and trains leaving San Jose at 3:50 p.m. and 5 p.m. Full schedules are available here.

The Saturday service is a one-year pilot program funded by California’s State Rail Assistance Program. The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission said it will pursue funding to continue the service if the pilot program proves to be successful.
