STRASBURG, Pa. — The Board of Directors of Strasburg Rail Road, America’s oldest short line railroad and one of Pennsylvania’s leading tourist attractions, announce Craig Lefever as its newest President and Rick Musser, Jr., to the position of Chief Mechanical Officer. The two positions were previously held by Linn Moedinger, who retired Dec. 21, 2018.

Lefever, who was hired by Strasburg in 1987, becomes the 8th president to lead the company’s tourism, mechanical, and freight operations. Prior to taking the helm, Lefever served as vice president and general manager since 2011. During his 31-year tenure, Lefever held the positions of compliance officer and car shop supervisor. Lefever resides in Millersville, Pa.

As CMO, 32-year Strasburg veteran Musser is responsible for the oversight of all mechanical staff and the completion of mechanical projects including all of SRC’s rolling stock and contracted work for other railroads. Prior to being named CMO, Musser served as vice president and assistant CMO. During his tenure at SRC, Musser held various positions including locomotive shop foreman, boiler shop foreman, engineer, and fireman. Musser is a member of the National Board of Boiler Inspectors, where he reviews and writes rules for the National Board Inspection Code. He is a Norfolk & Western enthusiast and resides in Strasburg, Pa.
