TORONTO — GO Transit is expanding service on its Stouffville and Kitchener lines, with changes effective April 8.
On the Stouffville line, five midday trains in each direction will serve the Centennial, Markham, and Mount Joy GO stations on weekdays.
On the Kitchener line, a new rush-hour trip will originate at the Bramalea GO station at 7:55 a.m., serving all intermediate stops before arriving at Toronto Union Station at 8:33 a.m. Also, the existing 8:33 a.m. train starting at Malton will now originate at Bramalea at 8:27 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 9:05 a.m.
The latter train will be one of four receiving expanded consists as of April 8, increasing from six to 10 coaches. On the Lakeshore East line, the 6:55 a.m. train from Union Station to Pickering and 7:36 a.m. train from Pickering to Union Station will be expanded from 10 to 12 cars, and on the Lakeshore West line, the 8:28 a.m. train from Union Station to Mimico will increase from 10 to 12 cars.
