QUEBEC CITY, Quebec — Canadian National is joining Hutchison Ports in a long-term deal with the Quebec Port Authority for a new container terminal in the eastern Canadian city.

Maritime Executive reports that the $775 million project is expected to be funded by the partners with an emphasis on environmental stewardship.

Once built, the complex will be known as Laurentia and is expected to generate hundreds of job as the container terminal serves among the largest ships afloat today and CN’s intermodal rail network.
