SEATTLE — Sound Transit’s Link light rail service will see service reductions for a 10-week period beginning Jan. 4, including three weekends when bus service will substitute for part of the route.

The reductions will allow construction connecting existing tracks to the new 19-station East Link line to Redmond, Wash.

Trains will run on 12-minute headways, seven days a week, with all trains including four cars. Riders traveling through Pioneer Square Station will change trains on a new center platform; bicycles are temporarily prohibited from that station.

Buses will substitute for light rail service on Jan. 4-5, Feb. 8-9, and March 14-15. March 15 is scheduled to mark the end of the service reduction. For more information, visit the Connect2020 page on the Sound Transit website.
