  1. What’s that Dismal doing there? Awwww…did it need an assist from the Big Boy? Did you get video of Big Boy passing the Mason City & Clear Lake, the last trolley freight?

  2. Those are beautiful captions of Number 4014 and her train. More passenger cars had been added since leaving Cheyenne.
Union Pacific replaced the original clear double-paned glass on the windows of the cars with blackened tinted window panes. The train would have looked more alive with the translucent glaze of clear glass windows allowing the window shades and the perimeter of the interior to be visible. [A person with blackened out eyes is never appealing.]

  3. Thx again.
Also did anyone notice that UP has the Jim Adams water bottle facing the right direction on this trip. The trip to Ogden the flag was facing the wrong way.

  4. Awesome runby’s of The Big Boy 4014, Great to see a Tier 4 ACe #3025 right behind it as backup Motive Power. Great to see the Tier 4 ACe’s back in service. Gotta love them along with the Big Boy too.

  5. The scene captioned “Northbound at Richlands, IA” is incorrect. It should be Fernald, IA. The first town north of Nevada.
