  1. UP put on a railfan friendly show. I started my day at Friesland, WI, where the train had a scheduled stop. Once it stopped the thousands of spectators got close & personal with the Big Boy. From there I left before the train left to get ahead of it SE of Beaver Dam where I got a good runby video. Since the train was only crusing at 25-30 mph, I was able to leap frog it. There are no parallel roads, so it presented a challenge, but managed to catch it 3 more times (while driving responsibly & having a good navigator) before meeting it at the south end of Butler Yard just before it arrived. Never thought I’d see the Big Boy in Wisconsin. Thanks Union Pacific!!!
