AVENTURA, Fla. — After a three-day delay caused by inspection issues, Brightline’s new Aventura station opened on Dec. 24.
The passenger operator had held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new stations at Aventura and Boca Raton on Dec. 20, only to have the Aventura opening delayed by issues regarding its elevators [see “Opening delayed for Aventura …,” Trains News Wire, Dec. 22, 2022].
The Aventura station, about 20 minutes north of Brightline’s MiamiCentral station, will eventually planned as the endpoint of a Miami-Dade commuter operation as well as an intermediate stop for Brightline. Discounted tickets are available from the station as part of Brightline’s agreement with Miami-Dade Transit.
Initially, tickets from Aventura are available for as little as $10. Ticket and schedule information is available at the Brightline website.
