PCM Railone AG, which production facilities in 12 countries, specializes in track systems and concrete ties for projects that go 186 mph or faster. Saurav Mittal, CEO of the company’s North American operations, said Railone chose North Las Vegas for it new facilities so it can easily ship the 600-pound ties to Brightline West.

“Logisticially, transporting 600 pounds of concrete blocks … from one corner to another corner of the U.S. makes no sense,” Mittal told the Review-Journal.

Construction on the $20 million facility is expected to begin in October, with production beginning by December 2025. The facility expects to hire about 60 employees.
