BALTIMORE — CSX has donated $50,000 to the Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund, the railroad has announced.
The fund, established by the Baltimore Community Foundation, supports families, port workers, first responders, small businesses, and communities affected by the March 26 Key Bridge tragedy.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by this tragedy, “ said CSX CEO Joe Hinrichs, who highlighted the company’s nearly two-century connection to the area. “As we navigate these challenging times, CSX remains committed to assisting our neighbors throughout this community on their path to recovery.”
Those interested in learning more about and supporting the fund can do so here.
They should have added one more zero ($500,000) to make a real impact. But 50K is 50K!
Great job CSX, proud to be a stockholder.
