CSX logoJACKSONVILLE, Fla. — CSX has been recognized as a Top 50 employer by Careers & the disAbled magazine, reflecting readers’ views on employers they would most like to work for or believe offer a progressive environment for people with disabilities.

CSX is the only transportation company named to the list.

“At CSX, we are committed to fostering a workplace that empowers every employee to succeed,” Michael Burns, CSX chief legal officer, said in a press release. Burns is also the executive sponsor of the company’s ABLE Business Resource Group. “The CSX ABLE Business Resource Group plays a vital role in driving initiatives, education programs and events for our employees and community partners that enhance accessibility and support for individuals with disabilities. This recognition reflects CSX’s dedication to our employees, customers and the communities throughout our network.”

The ABLE Group helps design inclusive programs, improve business practices, and enhance company facilities. It also partners with community organizations such as Special Olympics Florida and the Wounded Warrior Project.

The railroad has previously been recognized as one of America’s best places to work by the Disability Equality Index for six consecutive years, and has been included by Fortune on its list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies.”

“We understand that achieving meaningful progress relies on continuous engagement and strong partnerships with both our employees and the communities we serve,” said Stephanie Noel, CSX vice president of human resources and chief people officer. “This recognition underscores the value of our efforts and motivates us to keep fostering a culture where every employee feels valued, included, respected, appreciated, and listened to.”
