JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — CSX Corp. on Thursday announced recipients of its 29th annual Chemical Safety Excellence Awards, for customer contributions to the safe transportation of hazardous materials.
The 54 companies presented with awards shipped at least 600 carloads of hazardous materials on CSX during 2022 without a release due to controllable factors. Combined, the companies recognized shipped more than 175,000 cars of such materials during the year.
Special-recognition awards went to seven companies achieving multi-year miltstones without an accidental release of hazardous materials. Those award winners were:
15 years: Occidental Chemical.
10 years: Green Plains; Plains All American; SABIC.
5 years: Crestwood Services; Synagro Rail (EPIC); Suncor Energy.
