LOWELL, Ark. — J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. announced the addition of Patrick Ottensmeyer to its board of directors. Effective Jan. 12, 2024, the former Kansas City Southern CEO will serve on the board’s Compensation Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee, according to a recent news release.
Beginning in 2006, Ottensmeyer held multiple leadership roles for KCS before being appointed as the Class I railroad’s final CEO in 2015.
He served in this position until the CPKC merger on April 14, 2023. Ottensmeyer stayed on until the end of 2023 as an advisor, mainly centering around operation and business matters relating to CPKC in Mexico [See “Canadian Pacific Kansas City eyes April 14 start date” News Wire, March 17, 2023].
As a continuation of his railroading career, the report says Ottensmeyer currently serves as a board member on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; for The Greenbrier Cos., and for Watco Cos.
