CHICAGO — Metra will add a late-night train in each direction as part of updated schedules on the Milwaukee District North line effective June 3, the commuter operator has announced.

The new schedules will adjust train times and stopping patterns “to more accurately reflect current operating conditions,” Metra said in a press release. Arrivals and departures across the schedule will be affected as a result. Added will be train No. 2160, a 10:30 p.m. departure from Fox Lake to Chicago, and No. 2159, a 12:32 a.m. departure from Chicago to Fox Lake. These restore late-night trains dropped during the pandemic, and will raise the train count to 27 trains each way on weekdays.

The new schedules are available here.
