WASHINGTON — Network Rail Consulting Inc. has received a $73.2 million contract to provide system engineering for the California High-Speed Rail Authority, the company announced.

Among services to be supported by the company are asset management, engineering support and oversight, design and construction operations and maintenance oversight, network integration and program compliance, Federal Railroad Administration certification, systems safety and security, and track, systems and trainset contract commercial support. Network Rail Consulting will be supported by international consultants Egis and Recardo, and six California companies: C2PM, D.R McNatty & Associates, Inc., GCM Consulting, Inc., Intueor Consulting, Inc., LOR Consulting Group LLC, and NSI Engineering, Inc.

  1. Nine years later they are finally getting around to this. At this rate I might not live to see this thing run. I turned 72 yesterday and I rode the first public Acela out of Boston.
    What’s the latest on which century the completion of CA High-Speed Rail is anticipated to happen?

  2. All those functions are of extreme importance to CalHSR. The fee seems quite reasonable for the services to be rendered. The only problem is this: there is no railroad. It doesn’t exist.
