FILLMORE, Calif. – The dispersal of equipment from Southern California’s defunct Fillmore & Western Railway continues.

Two heavyweight passenger cars from the railroad have been sold to Everett Railroad in Duncansville, Pa. The Powhatan Café Parlor car was built by Pullman for the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad; the Rancho Sespe — named for a large Fillmore ranch — began life on the Colorado & Southern Railway.

Sierra Northern Ventura Division, the new operator of the Ventura County line, had previously purchased two dozen other pieces of F&W equipment for use in movie and television work. Other equipment has been sold to buyers in a wide range of locations.

Both cars are expected to be interchanged to Union Pacific this week.
