NESQUEHONING, Pa. — Port Clinton, Pa., based-Reading & Northern officially opened the newest station for its busy passenger excursion business on Saturday, Aug. 17, holding a ceremony for the new facility on its Nesquehoning campus that also includes training and mechanical facilities. The ribbon-cutting preceded an excursion featuring former Reading Co. T-1 4-8-4 No. 2102, taking a 19-car train to Pittston, Pa. The new station is midway on the 400-mile regional railroad’s main line.

So we’re not gonna talk about the Stuart light tank in the background on the first picture? Not that I’m complaining: military vehicles are my jam too!
The “builder’s facilities” would be Reading Locomotive Shop on N. 6th St. in Reading.

What a first class operation. The T-1 #2102 looks like it just rolled off the erecting floor at the builder’s facilities.
