NEWARK, N.J. — NJ Transit has unveiled a locomotive wrapped to commemorate Black History Month, featuring historical contribution of African Americans to American history and society.
The unveiling today (Monday, Feb. 26) of wrapped dual-mode Bombardier ALP-45DP No. 4508 at Newark Penn Station was accompanied by the release of two NJ Transit buses also wrapped for Black History Month. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey sponsored the wraps, designed in collaboration with BRIDGES, the transit agency’s Black and African American Employee Resources Group.
“NJ Transit joined with the rest of the nation this past month in honoring the many historical contributions of notable African Americans in recognition of Black History Month,” NJ Transit CEO Kevin S. Corbett said in a press release.“Through this sponsorship with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, we are able reinforce our agency’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in every aspect of our service.”
