WASHINGTON — The National Transportation Safety Board has named William Thomas (Tom) McMurry Jr. as its general counsel and Barbara A. Czech as director of the Office of Research and Engineering, the board announced Monday.
McMurry was previously deputy general counsel for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and chief counsel and deputy chief counsel for NASA’s Langley Research Center. He also served as colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate Genera’s Corps. His appointment was effective Monday.
Czech’s appointment is effective today (Aug. 1). The board also named Kristi Dunks as deputy director for regional operations in the Office of Aviation Safety.
