SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. — Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner service will introduce a revised timetable on Saturday, Feb. 17, as it continues to deal with the effects of a line closure caused by a landslide in San Clemente.

The revisions affect two northbound trains. Train 765, normally a 6:01 a.m. depart from San Diego to Goleta, Calif., will be scheduled as train 1765 between San Diego and Oceanside, bus 3765 between Oceanside and Irvine, train 765 from Irvine to Goleta, and bus 4765 from Santa Barbara to Oakland. Train 769, normally an 8:01 a.m. departure from San Diego to Goleta, will originate at San Juan Capistrano at . No alternate transportation will be provided between San Diego and San Juan Capistrano.

The new timetable is available here.

Service has been disrupted since Jan. 24 because of a landslide that brought down part of a bridge carrying a walking trail above the rail line in San Clemente. Officials will build a wall at the site, but details of that project have yet to be finalized. In the meantime, there is no estimate when Surfliner and Metrolink commuter rail service through the area will resume.
