GOLETA, Calif. — Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner resumed service between Goleta and San Luis Obispo on Monday, Jan. 30, following a two-week suspension.

The updated schedule of service to and from San Luis Obispo is available here.

Operations north of Goleta had been suspended while Union Pacific repaired a storm-damaged trestle on the grounds of Vandenberg Space Force Base [see “Union Pacific’s line on California coast remains shut down …,” Trains News Wire, Jan. 18, 2023].

At the other end of the Surfliner route, weekend service between Los Angeles and San Diego is scheduled to resume as of Feb. 4. Weekday service will continue to require a bus bridge while hillside stabilization work continues in San Clemente, Calif.
